The trap I fell into while creating authentic trans characters was overlooking the importance of individual backstories and experiences. It's crucial to portray your characters as fully developed individuals rather than relying on stereotypes or clichés. Take the time to research and understand diverse narratives within the trans community, as this will help ensure respect and authenticity. For instance, exploring topics like gender dysphoria and transition experiences can add depth to your characters; you might even find valuable insights on how to weave this into your narrative by checking out resources centered around “ai trans girl.” It's rewarding to see how thoughtful representation can engage audiences in a meaningful way.
